    I am running hte build job on a new Lenovo ( 2 disks) and the partition disk gets this error ?

    Not knowing what the job details are, are you sure you attempt to partition the correct disk? I know the express cache is usually listed as the first disk (if I remember well, the 16 GB one) and that you will not be able to partition.

    Oddly enough it worked when I was in x86 environment, but not x64.

    The tech on site had the laptop that came with Win8 preinstalled. The Syamntec tasks 'erase disk' and 'partition' were successful but we still had problems. Ran DiskPart and deleted the partions and the deploy jobs worked.

    Usually HDDs come with GPT file format and a normal disk wipe will often not work. Not sure what the SMP process and/or tool is to wipe the disk, but i found the best and only reliable way is to use Diskpart to clean the drive. Maybe that is the cause for the issue you find?

    What do you refer to when stating x86 or x64 environment - WinPE automation i assume?

    Yep - Winpe Automation. I will just script a task to run diskpart.
