Passphrase problem for resuming portable HD encryption on another computer
I started a trail version (10.2.0 MP5) on laptop (Win7 32bit).
Then I purchased a license (10.2.1 MP3) for my desktop (Win7 64bit) and encripted the system drive. It had been enrypting an extern USB3 drive last couple of days and last night windows rebooted for some system updates. Now Win7 won't boot up normally. It will go through the passphrase window (after BIOS) fine but after that it will freeze with black screen after the intial windows boot-up screen. I've disconnected the external USB drive and still not working. It will boot up in Safe Mode though.
Now, the first thing I am doing is to backup important data from the encrypted partitions.
Then I tried to resume the encryption of the external drive on my laptop. But somehow the passphrase doesn't work. I couldn't figure out why. Could anyone help.
Lastly, after backup done, how do I get my desktop back. I will try to boot the computer up with last known condtion. After that, can I try to restore the computer to prior to the windows update.
Thanks

Were you encrypting the external drive to a PGP key that is not on the laptop?

Yes they are different keys. How do I share the key from Desktop to my laptop, as my desktop is safe mode so PGP not fully functioning right now?
If you can launch PGP Desktop, you can click on PGP Keys on the top of the left side. Then right click on your key and select Export. Place a check for Include Private Key. Click Save to actually export the key. On the other computer, double click on the exported key to import it. After importing it, you need to right click on it, select Properties, and set Trust to Implicit.
