  • 1.  Passphrase prompt mounting multiple volumes

    Posted Mar 09, 2015 12:40 AM

When mounting (on startup) multiple PGP volumes, I'm seeing different behavior when being prompted for the passphrase.

On one system, I get prompted once - then all volumes are mounted.  Most mount to a letter - one to a path.

On another system, I get prompted for the passphrase for each volume.  All mount to a path here.

All volumes on each system have a passphrase user and it's the same on both systems.

A long time ago I had this issue and 'thought' I found a solution - if so, I can't remember what it was - if there was one.

    Hi rkh,

As I understand we are trying to mount virtial disk on start up and on one case the password is prompted once and on another passphrase is prompted multiple times.

Double check on Encryption desktop --> tools --> options and over there we should have an option to cache key passphrase for windows session. Make sure that is checked and for every windows session.

If above option is selected then the password would be prompted only once for every windows session.

Correct, and cache key passphrase is checked on both machines.
