  • 1.  Password for new user in cloud

    Hello all,

    I have created a test account for Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 2013 in the cloud.

    During the creation of the account I had to enter my email (username) and password. I'am able to logon to the cloud site.

    Then I have created a new user account for one of the company members to get email notifications. I only had to enter email address but no password.

    I can find a link to reset the pw for this new user. But then it is resetted without entering a new one.

    How can I enter a new initial pw for a new user?

    Hi,

    Actually once you create the new user, an email is sent to the user with that email address. That email contains a link to reset the password (for that user) the very first time the user follows the link as I have highlighted form a part of the welcome email that gets sent:

    Please go here to create a password. You will then be prompted to log in with the email address used to create your account.

    ...

    =======

    After clicking on the link, the user must choose a password and then can proceed to login with his/her email and the newly created password.
