I am currently doing a test to detect / block encrypted files or with password, the tests are:
                
                Detect / block Excel files with password: test successful
                Detect / block Word files with password: test successful
                Detect / block ZIP files with password: test is not successful

It is not successful on ZIP files with password. What is happening with no "Password-Protected ZIP Archive" detection?

I tested it on 9 and 10 versions and a I get the same deal

In politics I am using "File Type" from "Message Attachment or File Type Match" by choosing the options:

 


Do I need to configure or consider something else in this policy ¿

I am not certain that it would help, but i know that there is an issue with Winzip 11, because they changed the compression method.
I have not encountered the issue you mentioned, and I have not found anything in the knowledge base concerning this issue.

I've tested not only with Winzip but also with 7zip, Winrar and others, this problem is independent of the compressing application

I believe you should open a case with Symantec support to try and resolve the issue.
