Patch Compliance Data

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have replication turned on for the default "Patch Compliance Summary Replication" going up but at my top server where IT Analytics is installed it does not appear to have any of the data except for the 5 machines that report to the parent server.  Is this replication rule supposed to forward patch information, or do I have to replicate something else in order to be able to run a compliance report for all machines using IT Analytics and standard reporting on the parent server?

Detailed Patch Compliance data does NOT replicate up the hierarchy to the parent - only summaries.  When you run the compliance summary report and drill down into a specific server, it is actually running a more detailed report from that server - the data is not actually on the parent.

but the report doesn't show any drill down to the lower level servers and only shows data from the parent.  I have 10k machines on the 2 children but the report just shows 3 or 4 that report to the parent for testing.

Also with IT Analytics its reports and cubes do not have the data either

Is there a way to get this data at the parent so I do not have to direct my maangement to go to the 2 servers and add up numbers for reporting?

Run the Compliance Summary report on the parent NS under Reports->Software->Patch Management->Compliance.  It is the ONLY report that shows compliance for all servers.  This report will list all your child NS's and their compliance level.  Then, right click on a server and choose 'View Server Compliance'.  This will remotely run the report from that server but still be able to give you the compliance numbers you need. I am not aware of any way to get the Patch data up to the parent...plus, it's a TON of data.

So for IT Analytics even though I have that at the parent which has most of the data would I still have to create database connections to the child databases?  The IT Analytics is only showing the machines reporting to the parent.

Also as far as the software delivery data?  is there a similar report, or can I get that data up to the parent?

Here's the ITA view of its patch report

SonicGT- Maybe this is what you are looking for.  A new replication rule would need to be created in order to replicate the data up the hierarchy to the parent NS.

That looks like it will do it, now just have to determine if I set that up or set up additional database connections in IT Analytics and which one would be better to suite my needs.
