    Altiris Patch Management Solution 7.1 SP2 (7.1.7580)

Google Chrome Installation/Update is visible for the user, when deployed through Altiris Patch Management. The command line which is delivered with Patch Management is missing the /qn Switch. If we add /qn, it works as it should. But after every new update of Chrome, it is delivered without /qn switch again, until we edit it manually.

Shouldn't it be a silent installation generally? Does anyone has the same issue and maybe a solution?

Did you put a support request in?  Usually patch support requests (once replicated and escalated) for stuff like this does get addressed in my experience.

    Hello rjac,

We could not reproduce this issue with bulletin CHROME-48.
Could you please clarify exact bulletin number for Google Chrome update which has the issue?
What operating system is installed on client where issue occurs?
What version of Google Chrome was installed before patching?

    Thank You,
    Roman

Finally there is a solution to this provided by Enterprise Support.

Chrome update's are not running in silent mode
