    Hello

We have Patch Management Solution 7.6. Currently we patching only English languages Windows Operating system. Now onwards we have to patch French languages windows operating system. In Import patch data for windows there is languages different languages selection options available.

Can we patch both languages with the same patch or different??? or Is there any other different process for different language patching??

You can perform "Windows System Assessment Scan" task on French OS managed client and check whether it applies to your imported updates or not, using "Compliance by Computer" report.

    • Even if you have only "English" language enabled but there is a French OS client, there are updates with "Invariant Language (Invariant Country)" which should be available for localized OS patching.

As example of Software update with "Invariant Language (Invariant Country)"

If there will be updates without "Invariant Language (Invariant Country)", then you should include "French" language and perform PMImport to have required updates for French OS -> after that perform "Distribute updates" for further patching of French OS clients.

    Thanks,

One additional tip on this.   If you install the Windows OS in English then install the MUI / Langauge pack for the OS to change the UI to the language of your choice, the base OS will still use English patches.   This is an important consideration when you are designing your OS build and patch management solution especially when you support many languages.   In my organization we have one OS build that supports 14 languages but only need to download and deploy English patches.  If we had to turn on 14 languages within patch management it would put a considerable overhead to the enviornment by drastically increasing the number of patches we need to download and distribute and  storage space on the NS and site servers.
