    Hi vikod,
Probably it is caused by disabling superseded software updates that occurs during Patch Data import task. If you have enabled checkbox "Disable all superseded Software Updates" in Import Patch Data for windows settings, then it is expected - all superseded updates will be disabled in existing SWU policies.

    Thanks,

Additionally, if you have the PMImport setting 'Automatically revise Software Update policies after importing patch data' enabled, but the 'Enable distribution of newly added Software Updates' is disabled; you will see this.

To clarify, when the PMImport runs, it downloads the .cab data from SolutionSam site (as noted on the download Default Location under General), and when complete; begins the 'clean up' processes as they are enabled.

Automatically revise Software Update policies after importing patch data: Recreates the packages for any bulletin/updates that have been revised by the vendor; however, the process will disable the respective Software Update Policy Advertisement, for this allows the Admin to test the newly revised update deployment.

Enable distribution of newly added Software Updates: Automatically re-enables the respective Software Update Policy Advertisments, for this will allow the Admin to deploy updates that have already been reviewed and approved without any needed testing.

Disable all superseded Software Updates: Automatically disables the respective Software Update Policy Advertisements for updates that were superseded. This setting provides a performance boost for future PMImports to run, for it will not need to check disabled Advertisements that are no longer needed, during the Revision process.

    • Please note: Patch Management will not target any superseded update, nor will it report on such updates, for it moves forward with current releases from the software vendors.

This about sums it up, but further details can be found on KM: TECH40390

    Hope this helps,
