Is there a report that shows that the updates have been delivered? not installed, delivered.  Waiting for execution. this way i have a way to identify potential agent issues.

That is a good question.  I haven't found a single report that shows all of the information about software update status in one view, but I use the "Execution Attempts" report under Software | Delivery combined with the Patch Management Compliance and Vulerability reports to get a good sense of what worked and what failed.  The "Execution Attempts" report will show you what attempted to run and the status of that attempt. 

Do you have IT Analytics configured?

No i don't, but I will configure it in out test environment.

This would be easy to accomplish using the Patch Management cube in ITA.  I'll try to think of another way as I had something like this in NS6 but haven't been able to reproduce it in SMP7.

And just so you're aware you'll likely have thousands of updates configured to present to your environment.  And it's likely that there will be very few computers that have an identical updates list.

Is your goal really to check agent health or are you after compliance data?  The built-in reports should be alright for compliance, at least.

Personally I've wanted a report in SMP7 that you can enter a computer and have it spit out list of all of the applicable updates and when/if they've been installed.  I had this in NS6 :(

We have used the RAAD2 tool for individual system investigations.  It's very quick.  We can check Agent Health (all agents), package deliveries (including patches), etc.  A whole wealth of information is available by connecting directly to the single system being investigated.  We first look at the compliance numbers to get a feel for which systems are lagging behind on patching, then target the specific systems for further investigation using the RAAD2 tool.  This worst great for us.
