  • 1.  Patch Management for Windows - Internet Explorer 10 update

    Hi All, Microsoft has recently pplaced IE10 for mandatory install in Windows Update.  We have applications that has compatibility from this release.  Does Altiris Patch Management install this? how can I block it? is it part of the Security Updates category?

    Please Advice.

    If our data provider adds it to our list of products, then PMS can be used to deploy it.

    As PMS requires a PMSA Admion to stage the bulletins they want to deploy, you would simply either not stage the IE10 bulletin, or stage it but not create a bulletin policy for it, or create one but not turn it on.

    Hi sdedg,

    IE10 install package is filtered out from Altiris Patch Management solution catalog (as it represents installation of new version, not a patch).
