Wow, this website is confusing about exactily where we post a problem and how we expect to recv. an answer! Anyway, after using PCAnywhere just fine for a year, suddenly yesterday, I could NOT get a login box to appear, so I cannot access my business computer! It goes thru "waiting" then "connecting" and then even acts like it's connecting, but NO LOGIN BOX!
Hello,
We got the following answer from Symantec support on this issue:
Please have a look at the following article:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH138171 There were several security changes in the latest version of pcAnywhere. One of these changes is the reason that a standard user is no longer connected to a host when the host is in the CTRL+ALT+DEL screen. The only way for a pcAnywhere user to connect to a CTRL+ALT+DEL screen is by creating a superuser. Super users will always get access to the host even if no confirmation is given.
The security changes that were made in version 12.6.7 cannot be undone. There is no option available to disable this feature.
Kindly check port 5631 and 5632 is open or not...
