PC Anywhere with Dyndns
I have been searching for an answer for this long and hard on the internet and nothing is coming up.
Setup: I have a linksys 54g firmware 3.x setup on my DDNS (dyndns) account. This is the only router in the string from the source of the internet to the computer. The ports for PCA and RDP are setup on this router to forward to "computer 1". the "computer 1" has all open ports through the firewall and setup. I am using PCA 11.0 on the "computer 1" and the client computer connecting to it is also PCA 11.0.
Currently working: I can RDP and PCA to this machine just fine using the WAN IP. This tells me I setup the ports right on both the router and the computer side.I can RDP through my Dyndns account and allows me to connect and log on. Meaning my Dyndns settings on my linksys are working.
Problem: I cannot PCA through my Dydns account. Just fails to connect, no fancy error message except "could not find specific host"
Possibilities: could it be a firmware issue on my linksys? could it be that PCA 11.0 doesn't do Dyndns? Do I have to type in my Dydns name a certain way? (right now I just type it in like so: XXXXXX.dyndns-work.com)
other info: On my Dyndns account I can select what this connection will be used for... I have selected all for troubleshooting purposes.
Thanks for the help,
