I believe this to be a bug with PCAnywhere in environments that have client pc's with, for example, a DHCP IP address of and a /20 subnet mask ( Gateway:

with a /20 bit mask you get;
CIDR Network
CIDR Address Range -

When I tried to pcAnywhere into PC, packet captures show that when PC had IP the PC initiating connection would attempt UDP connection to through

I reconfigured client pc from DHCP to static with ip of Subnet mask of (same subnet mask as before).

Uninstalled Altiris /clean.
Deleted object from NS.
RDP into PC and installed Altiris and agents.
Ran full inventory.
I was able to pcAnywhere into PC with that IP.

I believe this is a bug with PCAnywhere in environments with /20 subnet masks and host ip ending .255.
