PC Anywhere Plugin

otnadmin's picture

Hi all

I just installed CMS 7 and I noticed that when I deploy a client with the PC anywhere plugin it uninstalls any other version of PC anywhere.
I wanted to know if it was possible to install the PC anywhere plugin without this happening?

Thanks

otdadmin, I doubt that this

otdadmin,
I doubt that this is possible.  The way that PCA has to be installed (in particular the drivers, etc) would preclude this from happening.  Are you concerned from a client side or from the "Helpdesk" or IT side, i.e. you want to hve the PCA plugin and a stand-alone PCA 11 console??  I believe the PCA Plugin is backwards compatible with at least version 11 of PCA...?

Thanks,
Kyle

They have a lot of shared components.

They have a lot of shared components so it will be a one or the other.  You could set a rule so that the help desk folks don't get the Solution version of pcA deployed would be all I can think to keep the full 12.1 inplace.

Cheers.
