    Hello
    I tried to get software inventory of the clients. When I update the software version and get the inventory it doesn’t shows update version, still remain as old version. As an example I updated Adobe acrobat 6.8 to 6.9 but in the inventory it still shows as 6.8.Have you ever experienced this kind of error? Any idea?

    Hello,

    First are you doing the inventory on the deployment server with "Get Inventory" or on the Notifation Server with "Inventory Solution"?

    If it is on the deployment server if you right click on computer and choose "Advanced" then on the sub-menu "Get Inventory" wait 3-5 minutes and check the "Properties" by right clicking the same computer and choose "Application" is it updated properly?

    If it is on the Notification Server you need to wait a cycle of the Altiris Agent and also the process of the Software Inventory from the Task Tab which could run daily, weekly depending on its schedule.

    Let us which one you are using and I could detailed more..

    Thanks for helping. It is a deployment server. I tried with Advance>Get inventory ...And it shows successfully completed. But the list of applications has not been updated.

    Have you checked locally on the client to see that the information in Add/Remove Programs is correct for that application?

    Hello,

    Check on the Client the log AClient.log to see if there is any clue:
    - Failure
    - Inventory not processed...

    Check on the Server the log axengine.log to see if there is also any clue:
    - Failure
    - could not reach the target

    Thank you very much for your help always. It was a problem with AClient. After I reinstalled the AClient, now it works properly.
