pcAnwywhere 12.5: Can't "Blank Host Screen"
I have pcAnywhere 12.5 set up on several clint (customer) networks. All are the same version, and all are updated to Build 463. Some of these are windows 2003 R2 Server systems. On one such server, if I go to properites for the Host I have set up on it, and to the Security tab, the option to Blank PC screen after connection is grayed out. This same item is grayed out if I createa new Host object on the same machine.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why this is grayed out on just this one particular machine? The only theory I can think of is that perhaps the system or monitor are not ACPI complicant thus don't allow a software-controlled change of State or something, but I believe the monitor and the system are both compliant as I would imagine anything made in the past several years would be. Just an assumption though, who knows.
Thank you!

This setting is also controlled in the caller privileges
The ability to create a caller that doesn't have rights to blank the screen exists. It would be worth looking at the privledges tab on that host and make sure that the caller you useing has the correct level of rights.
It still may be an issue with pcA but I would start with that. Is the one machine that doesn't work 64bit and the others 32 bit? I have seen some features that don't work right on 64bit. Remote printing comes to mind. It doesn't work in the 64bit OS for pcA, Webex, or the remote that Intuit is selling with Quick books. ( I think it is just Intuit branded webex)
