This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello everyone,

I am creating custom installation packages for pcAnywhere 12.5 for my company using Symantec Packager.

I need to know how to create the package so that it has the pcAw passwords in it. For instance these packages will be deployed to client computers that we manage. When we connect to these client computers using our current version 12.1, sometimes it connects with no issues, and other times it asks for our password. Now I know someone had to have created the packages so that these passwords are stored in the package somewhere, I just do not know how and I believe that specific person is no longer with the company.

Please advise!

Thanks for the suggestions

Ok it seems that I figured

Ok it seems that I figured out the password part by adding the caller file to the product package. Now I have the package pretty much tweaked and ready for deployment on our network, the problem is that when I install the package I am unable to connect. I noticed that the tray icon or TSR that usually appears and says "pcanywhere waiting for connection" or something of that nature is not present.

I'm not really sure if I am missing a part of the product when I configured the package and thats why this isnt showing up or if something is just broken! Either way any help would be appreciated

Please advise!

Thank you
