  • 1.  PCAnywhere Not Installing With The Agent

    I'm not sure what happened but the PCAnywhere Plug-in stopped installing on new computers in the last few weeks.  I recently inherited SMC from an employee that left the company and I'm struggling to figure this out.  Can anyone provide and suggestions as to why it would stop working?   I'm not really sure what to even check at this point.  Thank you.

    • C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application data\Symantec\pcASolutionLog
    • C:\Program Data\Symantec\pcASolutionLog

    Under settings - agents - all agents - remote mgmt - remote control - windows - are the PCAnywhere install/upgrade policies on and scoped properly?

    Check the install policy, and I bet it is set to install ASAP.  Add an install window for 24 hours a day every couple hours.  Hit save, and run a resource membership update.

    Thanks for the replies everyone!

    The policy is on and it does see resources. 

    It is,in fact set to run ASAP.  That has worked for us in the past though.  Nothing has changed that I am aware.  I added the schedule to run and check every 2 hours.  I'll check it again in a little while and see if anything has changed.
