PCAnywhere weird port question
Created: 18 Feb 2011 | 1 comment
I am working with a vendor that wants to use only one PCA ports-5631-to connect.
Is it possible to do this? I have always used two ports...
Thanks-

Hello,
The primary, and necessary, port is the TCP port, by default is 5631. The secondary UDP Port, 5632 by default, is only a status port and not necessary for using pcAnywhere to remote control.
You can get a more detailed explanation(and instruction) from the tech article How to configure PcAnywhere to use only TCP.
Regards
