PDDO Maximum concurrent jobs for puredisk 6.6

Hey everyone,

we just built out new hardware for our puredisk/netbackup environment for our remote offices. We have over 1400 locations that connect back to a central netbackup server via T1 connections (so, for theoretical sake, lets assume they all get T1 speed all the time). These systems are backed up via the netbackup client and then PDDO to the puredisk SPA which is also very beefy in new hardware. The PDDO deduplication guide suggests the maximum concurrent jobs of 40 but i'm wondering where this practicality comes from. I could understand that if you were flooding requests in from a server environment over the local LAN that this would reduce performance beyond 40 concurrent. However, since all these connections are barely pumping data in and neither server is even taking a breath yet on performance, is it safe to increase or will this be detrimental?

Thanks.
