PDF reports email notification not working

I selected the job summary report to be scheduled and email a copy of it to myself.  In tools\options\reports I have PDF as the desired format.  The job runs as expected but there is no email sent.  If I select html, I receive the report as expected and a second email that the job successfully ran.
 
Any ideas?

Do you have Adobe Reader installed on the server? You need it installed to generate PDF reports. (At least you definitely used to in previous versions)

I can generate the report on the server, but it does not email.  I don't have adobe reader on the server.
