When I attempt to boot a computer into automation (WinPEx64 or x86) via PXE, it gets stuck at this screen:

    automation.png

This is probably because it doesn't contain the PECT agent files, or any of the files that should be listed in the screenshot below.  The Symantec folder is missing, as well as the Altiris folder.

If I boot to autmation using a boot disk or automation folder, the files are there.

On your NS go to C:\Program Files\Altiris\Deployment\BDC\bootwiz\oem\DS\winpe\x86\Base or x64. Do you have any files there? You should have runagent.bat, program files, and windows folders. In program files there should be symantec/deployment/PectAgent

Those are the files that are used when bootwiz runs to create your winPE images. If they are there you may be able to recreate the preboot environments from the console Settings > Deployment > Create Preboot configurations. Choose your PXE image and recreate preboot environment.

If you don't have those files you may be able to do a reinstall on deployment solution.

Both x86 and x64 have those files in that location.  Recreating them doesn't make a difference, nor did reinstalling ITMS 7.5 completely (from the OS up), or the site server.

Does PXE actually work for you?

The only thing I am doing that could possibly be causing issues is mounting the drives that I keep my images onto the folder that contains the packages on the servers.  I have done that since 6.9 and 7.1 and never had issues with it though.  Other than that, it is a straight-foward installation that is completely fresh.

    Thanks

PXE is working for me. Are you mounting the drives in the runagent.bat file? If so maybe move them to the bottom to see if PXE goes further?

I had authentication errors on many of the sites in IIS for some reason.  The app identity account wouldn't not work when testing the sites, but putting in the same information as the app identity manually, would allow for a successful test.  I finally started completely over, starting fresh with HF3, and PXE works now.

I hate giving up on it like that but I have been having issues for too long now and just want to move forward.

    Thanks again for your help.
