There is another article discussing Pectagent crashing. The discussion was marked as solved and was closed. That article discusses renaming WAIK directory and reinstalling WinPE.
The solution that was mentioned above did not work for me, so I thought I would post what did work.
Symptoms:
When attempting to push out an image using PXE, the task starts, then the Ghost (or RDeploy) screen pops up and then immediately shuts down.
Resolution:
I called Symantec Support. They suggested that it could be an issue with the OEM partition. I used a Windows 7 disk, removed all partitions and then attempted to image, using PXE and Ghost. This worked. I don't know if it was the Dell OEM partition, or the Windows 7 100 MB reserved partition that was causing the issue. Both of these partitions existed on the computer. I just removed all partitions.
