    Basically, is there any merit still to this HOWTO article?

    Should I uncheck "Include unused disk space..." for encrypting SSDs, and leave it checked for encrypting mechanical HDDs? 

    I'm using SEE 11.0.1.

    Hi 2overpar,

    Unchecking “Include unused disk space” will improve SSD performance with drives using full disk encryption (Symantec Endpoint Encryption Full Disk Edition, SEE PGP WDE), and this applies to 11.0.1 aswell.
