I have added several folders to Netshare sucessfully, but when I try to add my My Documents folder, I log the error:

10:00:45 NetShare     Error    NetShare: Error retrieving attributes - [0x80070005] [C:\Users\dgibson\Documents]: insufficient privileges (-11972)

I have full privileges to the documents folder and have tried launching PGP Desktop as administrator. Any ideas why it won't add the folder?

If you are using PGP 10.0 through 10.0.2, there is a bug that requires that the PGP keyrings be in the default My Documents location.

Thanks, I'm sorry I should have mentioned I'm running PGP Desktop v10.1.1. I can add the subfolders of My Documents OK, which after thinking about it a while is probably a good thing since I have subfolders that sync with my phone that wouldn't be readable on the phone.

The problem is probably that you have the PGP keyrings in the My Documents folder - if you were to have your PGP keyrings in a NetShare protected folder, you would not be able to access the NetShare protected folder because you would not have access to the necessary keyrings.  So, to accomplish the desired move, you would need to move your keyrings to some other location first.

Tom is probably right, try moving .pkr files in /My Documents/PGP Corporation to Desktop, for example.

Then check PGP options to search this pkr files in Desktop.

Restart PGP and try to add My Documents to shared folders.
