Permissions for specific folders

Hi,

If we have a person who has left the firm, we have deleted their Exchange mailbox due to our leavers process and archived any remaining items, then is it possible to give another user access to just specific folder in their KVS archive?

I know you can do it through Outlook by apply folder permissions and then replicating this through to the Vault but is it possible to apply permissions to just folders if they no longer have an Exchnage mailbox?

Thanks

Rinku,
Simply add the new user to the archive permissions tab. Right click on the archive, properties, permissions. Add the new user and grant them the appropriate access.

Thanks for the reply!

Thats fine but that will give the user access to the whole archive, what if this particular user only needs access to certain folders within the leavers archive???

Thanks

Rinku,
In that instance, you'll prolly want to (as an admin) give yourself access to the archive. Do a search for the items of interest, and then export them to a pst. Then hand the pst to the new user, or import the pst directly in to their personal vault. You're sorta doubling data, but that's the only way to get really that granular. Or you could just go the easy route and save yaself some trouble. :)
