Well i have a rel intresting question here

    windows 7

    10.3.2 Desktop Encryption

    Exchange 2013 - 2007 2010 and 2013 outlook with send  recive every 15 min

    When PGP DE is running

User creates email an sends it unencryped

email goes into outbox "copy is also already in sent items "my guess is that pgp put the message copy there"

user wants to edit outbox mail ... make changes and hit send. Email is in outbox with changes

after email sends, you look at the sent items the email show as the original not the changed and resent email.

User who recives email recives the proper editied email, but sender has no copy of real email that was sent

if you look on the exchange server it shows the edited email being sent...

If i disable PGP DE and redo the test user can edit outbox item "there is no shadow copy in sent"

user can go into outbox edit email and then send

    messages send

correct copy of email is in sent items with new edits

exchange show edited email being sent

What my users want is the abiltiy to edit outbound messages and have the edits captured in sent items with pgp DE running

    Any ideas?

    Hi Thugor,

To the best of my knowledge this was considered to be working as designed since it seems to be associated with a known behavior of Outlook. You can contact Technical Support and ask this as a Feature Request, in case it is confirmed to still be the case with the latest version.

I think what you describe is associated with TECH190727 and, if the email is signed or encrypted, when edited in the outbox that mail is blocked and remains in the outbox.

    Thanks... fro the info

We are trying to retrain this behavior .. however its not so easy. Using sent email and outox to edit email is just a bad practice in my mind... but i can see if a user was disconnected from the network "on a airplane" returning email and decided to change some in to outbox it should refelct the changes...
