PGP Command line SDA files larger than 4GB
Created: 05 Jul 2012 | 4 comments
Hello
WE have PGP Command line 9.9 installed on a Windows 2003 64 bit server. If we create a PGP Comand line SDA file greater than 4GB and try to open it we get a messge saying thsi is not a valid windows application. How can we create a SDS file greater than 4GB.

Does the encryption actually work ? Can you output the result of the encryption with a --verbose so we can see what's what? PGP has no file size limitations so somethings gone awry.

Is the decryption to the same machine?

Encryption works fine if it is under 4GB. Yes we tried it on the same 64 bit machine to extract where we get the not a valid windows application.
The target platform we specify is win32 which I assume is OK because taht is the only one available for Windows
Windows executables are limited to 4GB in size. Unfortunately PGP Command Line will make an SDA larger than that size if the source file is large. This is a known issue that will be addressed in a future version.
