Endpoint Encryption

I recently uninstalled a trial version of PGP Desktop as I migrated to a new laptop.  I have a key but have no idea now which product to download to use that key.  I only use this to exchange PGP encrypted files with specific clients.  Can someone suggest which product I should use?

I believe about all PGP licenses include PGP Zip file encryption, so the choice should probably be based on licensing and cost.  The Freeware will do it, but is not licensed for commercial use.  I don't know if the Home product allows commercial use as the old Personal product did, but it may be worth going to the Home Desktop page and trying the Chat With Sales link to find out.

I am a very new user of PGP Desktop and PGP in general but a very experienced network admin and programmer.

Every time I create a NetShare share on my own PCs C: drive I immediately get locked out of it. From Windows explorer I am told "You don't currently have permission to access this folder". I created the folder and am an admin on the PC and the network and when I view the security of the folder through Windows explorer I have full access.

When I try to remove the encryption of the folder through the PGP Desktop, PGP NetShare application I get...

Errors
C:\Temp\PGPTest
Folder authentication failed
C:\Temp\PGPTest
Folder decryption failed
Decrypting Folders
C:\Temp\PGPTest
 

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? The product seems useless to me at this point because I lose access to everything I apply it to.
