PGP Desktop 10.2.1 and Outlook 2011 Exchange Howto

We are evaluating PGP Desktop primarily for email encryption. When configuring, there does not appear to be an Exchange option in the PGP Desktop 10.2.1? What are we missing?

Maybe you are using the license for either the Freeware or Home, where it is not supported?

    Hi Tom,

We are currently testing the evaluation for just that purpose. We don't want to purchase a number of copies to find out it does not work as we intend to use it. Does the evaluation not have the full functionality (PGPDesktop10.2.1MP3.dmg)?

LICENSE KEY FOR -PGP Desktop Corporate 10.1 Win Per Device, Trial License

We do not want to employ a server level function, each desktop would manage it's own keys and be independent.

Don't quote me on this, but I do not think that there is Exchange support for 10.2.1 for Mac:

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC5549

There is no documentation within that about connecting to Exchange servers, just IMAP/POP3 etc.

If you are using the Trial licensing, you have the fully functioning product during the evaluation period.

Interesting, the Read Me.html that comes with the install mentions Exchange several times, just nothing about setting them up.

Thanks but can someone answer whether or not PGP Desktop Email supports Exchange with Outlook 2011 because I do not see the option though I see Exchange mentioned in the Read Me.html.

Outlook 2011 w/ exchange isnt support.

i think it maybe something they are looking at adding support.

This has been an issue ever since entoruage supported EWS, which is https web dav, PGP deoesnt have a proxy that will work with that secure connection. You can use IMAP w/ exchange and PGP should be able to proxy those messages like it does with Apple Mail.

Most orgs whom have Exchange, seem to be shutting down POP and IMAP. Guess Symantec assumes that most will use S/MIME or a centralized key management verse independently managed installs.
