  • 1.  PGP Desktop 10.2.1 using 1 full CPU core (out of 8) on a interval of 1 min

    Hi there,

    We're currently using: Windows 2003 R2 SP2, Citrix Presentation Server 4.5, PGP Desktop 10.2.1

We've noticed that the PGP Desktop is using every 1 min, 1 full CPU core for about 10 sec

It looks like that the PGP is doing something in the background, it's not being used.

I've read several arcticles about CPU problems with version prior to 10.2, but didn't find anything about version 10.2.1

    First: Is this behaviour normal?

Second: Is there something we can do about this? (setting or update?)

    Thanks and regards,

    Steven

When you say PGP is not being used, what modules do you have installed/licensed?  Is the drive encrypted?

This sounds like behavior that we haev seen related to using netshare on a DFS fileshare. Do you have the netshare component installed on the Citrix server? If so, what is the process taking up the CPU - explorer.exe?
