  • 1.  PGP Desktop: Can't create a text only .asc file

    Trying to create a Text Only file with a .asc suffix on the fie.

    Older versions of PGP had a checkbox that said TEXT ONLY - and PGP created a .asc file

    PGP Desktop 10.2 has the Text Only checkbox (in Options) but only creates a .pgp file.

    Is this a limitation of the version (Home vs Professional) or are we missing something?

    PGP Desktop Home 10.2

    Windows 7 Professional (32b)

    The file created is text only, just change the extension to .asc

    yes we can rename (& it works) - but that's an extra step.

    Older versions did it automatically.
