Sorry, but I just found this discussion buried under the current heap of stuff. If this is still a problem, can you please post some specifics about your environment.

such as:

Make/model of machine

Build number of PGP Desktop

Does the application work in safe mode

What things have you tried thus far with troubleshooting

Hi Ben

Sorry for the late respons.

Its not a conveyor PC, Mainboard Asus Rampage III Extreme.

PGP Build Nr. 10.1.2 Build 9

I did not try to run it in save mode till now, will try it later and will inform you.

I just renew my support contract of PGP. Tell me please, is there a new version of PGP Desktop Pro?

Thanks Martin

Hello

ok, i installes the latest version, 10.2 now after uninstalling the 10.1.

I also try the SaveMode of Windows.

Now the Problem looks a little diffrent. After i try to open PGP Desktop, i get an icon in traybar, short window border, than it minimizes to the tray, but no window, not able to restore the window...

All the other Options are Working. I can go to the Options, View Notification, View PGP Log, Open PGP Viewer, Help, About... all that is working.

Only "Open PGP Desktop", to Manage the keys an profiles doesent work at all. Its the same in Save Mode!

How can i uninstall PGP and remove all the settings from Registry and file System?

I noticed, that after uninstall and install he still knows i.e. my PGP License.

What else can i do?

Thanks Martin

Again me...

If i try to repair the programm from installer file, i get this error:

I would make sure that the disk is decrypted. Then follow those instructions on how to completely remove PGP

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...

The PGPServ service is no longer used/needed in PGP Desktop 10.2 So that must have been left behind from the previous installation. You can read this blog article on how to remove a windows service using the SC delete commands:

Did the solution that I gave you back in September work for you? I would like to close this thread if so.
