  • 1.  PGP Desktop Key Import Issue

    Hi All!

     

    I'm having a problem when importing version 8 keys into a version 9 desktop installation. Once the key is imported the verification tick is not appearing next to the key.

     

    This is being run in an unmanaged PGP Desktop email enviroment.

     

    Could anyone explain to me why the verification is not taking place in this enviroment?

    I think you are saying that after importing a key, it is not showing as Verified in PGP Desktop?  If so, you are probably using a different keypair in this version and have not yet signed the imported key with your key.  Signing a key with yours is your indication that the key is valid/verified (you have determined that the key belongs to who it is suppose to belong to).

    Right click on key, check properties, it should be implicit trust.

    Right click again, get signing key

    Right click, sign/verify
