We use PGP Desktop to encrypt the whole disk. I noticed while trying to upgrade RAM in a system that was whole disk encrypted that the system did not want to boot/the screen would not come on. If I put the old RAM back in, then all was fine. I tried moving the user's hard drive to a new computer and the boot encryption prompt would appear but would not let me by, even after supplying the correct passphrase. I'd input the passphrase an dit would let me past but when I would attempt to start Windows normally, it would prompt me for the passphrase again. Is this normal behavior?
