  • 1.  PGP | Manage a computer/user no member in domain

    Posted Sep 25, 2014 05:37 AM

    Hi All,

I have a PGP server that manages encryption of machines of my parc, all users & computers are members of the domain (matched by Group & policy created for this need).
Actually, i have to add machines/users
who are not member of my domain.

The question is, how these users will be matched by rules of Group/policy that I need to create?

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards,

They wont match any groups within group policy.  This means they will default into the "Everyone" group.  You can then move them manually if you need to.

It will be by whatever account it's on, be it local to that machine or whatever.

If I am logged on as a local user on PC1 as John Smith, I will enrol to the SEMS as John Smith, but at that stage I won't have an email address assigned to the user.

I suggest having a different client software with the "Preset Policy Group" manually assigned to the policy you want for the non-domain clients.
