    Good Morning,

I have a drive that PGP 10.2 MP1 claims is fully encrypted, BUT when I look at the drive in the Boot Guard screen it states that the drive is only 99% encrypted??

So should I attempt to re-encrypt it?

You may want to use the command line usage in this Knowledge Base Article to assess the level of encryption.

That worked, but the Knowledge Base Article does not take into account the X64 based environment.  It was very easy to overcome by coming to the realization that the Command Line files are in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\PGP Corporation\PGP Desktop" instead of the "C:\Program Files\PGP Corporation\PGP Desktop" which is listed.

I got what I needed so that is all that really matters, but does not explain why the BootGuard is displaying wrong information?

    Thank you very much!

It appears that all really is encrypted. It might be interesting to do a low level disk scan for bad sectors, using such software as SpinRite.  I'm wondering if the possible explanation could be that there is a bad sector that Windows has marked to not use and therefore doesn't use in the calculation, whereas perhaps preboot, it might be seen as a sector that is actually not encrypted because it can't be written to.

I will try that in an attempt to isolate the reason.  Thank you again for your help!
