Hi,

Are there any plans, dates or details for an update to the PGP Support for Blackberry package?

Also, what is the process for logging & tracking feature requests relating to this package?

Thanks,

If you want feature requests you should make posts in the "Ideas" section:

As for updates on Blackberry package, what exactly are you hoping the next update to include?  As far as I am aware, the Blackberry support is quite comprehensive

Thanks for the info.

Broadly speaking the improvements we would like to see are:

- Ability to send an encrypted email with attachments from BB device. Or at least: Ability to forward an encrypted email (that has attachments) in an unencrypted format, with the attachments in unencrypted form attached. Currently when a user does this the original attachments are removed from the forwarded message, the only work around is the user saving the attachment to their device and attaching it to a new unencrypted email - which is proving to challenging for most users =)

- In areas of low GPRS signal users get a 'Unable to update PGP policy from server' error and cannot send any encrypted mail, even though they are able to send non-encrypted mail and browse the net from the handset.

Ah yes, the attachment issue, I can understand users might have difficulties doing that, it's not entirely straight forward.  I am not sure if that's on the roadmap or is a planned feature, but worth a look in the ideas section.

PGP Blackberry Support Package feature request should go to RIM.  RIM not Symantec/PGP is responsible for development of this code, enhancements and distribution to the carriers.

Thanks for your comments. I am trying the 'absoultely everywhere' approach...

Logged the feature request on the BlackBerry forums:

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Device-software-for-BlackBerry/PGP-Support-for-BlackBerry-Update/td-p/1798309

Logged it with Symantec as an 'idea':

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/ideas/pgp-support-blackberry-encrypted-e-mail-attachments

and emailed (what appears to be) BlackBerry's feature request email: bbsuggestions@rim.com

Any further suggestions or places I should follow this up with is much aprpeciated.

Thanks again,
