PGP Universal
Does PGP universal works in workgroup environment or is it necessary to AD or LDAP.
If it supports workgroup, can i deploy all the policies through server.
If i have the license only for WDE, will it show netshare, files, messaging blocks on the left side or i have to disable manually on all the machines while installing clients.
If i do not have AD, LDAP, Exchange, Domino in my organization (that means i don't have email account) but i want PGP universal as i have 200 machines in my organization, can i enroll through my personal mail accounts such yahoo, gmail etc..
Can i schedule reports in PGP universal.
Can i convert ISO image into bootable and install it on Windows or LINUX machine, as my client does not have Vmvare.

Yes you can deploy all the policies through server.
WDE license comes with PGP Zip (file encryption) . Netshare and other features are disabled since license does not include this feature. No action needed.
You CAN´T enroll users by public emails such yahoo . etc.
You can make universal send daily or weekly updates to any email address (if network properly set, of course) . You can do this from system, administrator tab, select user. check "send daily status email"
You can burn iso image to CD , boot and install in any computer or virtual machine. It´s an entire operating system based on Linux. cannot be installed in windows

Difference between PGP and Mcafee

Can anyone provide me the difference between and Symantec Universal server, Mcafee and trend micro.

Universal server manages PGP clients for encryption of any kind,
McAffee and trend micro are Antivirus server/client.
In any case, Server is used to deploy policy to clients.

I think McAfee has EndPoint Enrcyption, too.
Management wit ePO is possible, too.
Trend does have anything like that, too.
When using WDE, NetShare, ZIP functionality only, it would be possible to do this with other products, too.
Messaging is unique to PGP Universal Server, except TLS encryption.
