PGP Universal 2.9.1 -> E-Mails to Japanese encoding

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I've noticed something strange when sending e-mails through PGP Universal Gateway (2.91 - Build 287).

All outbound e-mails flow through our PGP Universal server and I've noticed that the e-mail encoding of (unencrypted) e-mails seems to be changing to :

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-2022-JP"

To check if it's the PGP server, I've sent the same e-mail to the same receipient, but have taken PGP Universal Server out of the mailflow, and the encoding stays at:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Has anyone else seen this? What might be causing it?

Found the solution - we had inadvertently included a non-ascii character in the smart trailer message -> a stray apostrophe, that was actually a right single quotation mark.

That seemed to throw the encoding.
