  • 1.  PGP WDE - cannot create encrypted mails

    Hi everyone,

    my setup is as follows:

    - Mac OS-X 10.6.7

    - PGP Whole Disk Encryption 10.1.1 with "Messaging Security" support enabled in the Settings

    - Apple Mail

     

    Problem: 

    - I can decrypt PGP-encrypted mail from within Apple Mail by opening the Message.pgp content with PGP Viewer

    - I cannot use the Email security functions from PGP Desktop (no "PGP messaging", "Messaging->Server Configuration" greyed out) entry in the left-hand menu, and Mail.

    - The Enterprise License information shows that PGP Messaging is deactivated, which appears to contradict the settings

     

    Any hints/insights are greatly appreciated.

    As you can see in this Product Comparison Matrix, the WDE product does not include the encrypted email functioning.
