The vrtual machine I intend to do WDE is:

Virtual Win 2008 server 64 bit. HyperV environment.

Can I carry out Whole disk encryption?

Hi Mehmood,

I am afraid SEMS/SED is not officilly supported on HyperV.

I did not test just to carry out a "disk encryption" on it's own with HyperV based on an official announcement.
Even if you manage to do so it is still be an unsupported configuration if you hit any potential issues in the future.
