  • 1.  PGP WDE for Linux

    Posted Apr 19, 2011 10:57 AM

I am new to this format and I posted in the "command line" forum and was directed over here, although this is a Linux question. I need to know if Symantec has, or is planning, to support any future versions of Red Hat workstation? The current Red Hat release is v6 and yet PGP WDE is only for RH 5.2 or 5.3. This requires our R&D engineers to remain on some pretty old versions of RH for their laptops. Can someone tell me the future (if there is any) for PGP to be updated to work on the most recent versions of Red Hat?

    Thanks,

PGP WDE for Linux is supported up to RHEL 6.0 now. This is because they are now using DKMS modules for PGP WDE where in the past we had to compile them and put them in a repository to download.

You can download 10.2 at fileconnect here:

    https://fileconnect.symantec.com

If you are having problems finding 10.2 in the fileconnect site you will need to contact customer service at (800) 721-3934.
