I have 2 questions.  1)  I keep getting a pop-up tellling me there is an update to PGP WDE.  When I click on more information, it disappears.  When I go to the PGP Symantec site it tells me I need information that is sent in an email from Symantec.  I have not received any emails from Symantec regarding PGP.  Is there an upgrade and, if so, how do I get it?  2)  I will need to add another user in the near future to WDE.  Is there a white paper telling me, in plain English, how to do that?  Thanks in advance for your help.

There is a newly released upgrade version - 10.1.2.  If you believe you are entitled to the free upgrade, such as having current upgrade insurance, and it is not in File Connect for you, you need to contact Customer Care:

Your wanting to add another user to WDE: is this another user on the same machine, or another user's machine?  Is this in a PGP Universal managed setting? Do you already have another license available for the added user?

Thanks for your reply and the link.  This is on a mahine with other users and we have a new hire.  I am not sure what a PGP Universal managed setting is?  When we have needed anything in the past it was all covered under our license and the annual renewal.  Thanks again.

You are very welcome.  PGP Universal is a PGP product that does a number of things, including producing custom built PGP Desktop installation packages that control what options are allowed to be set by individual users.  If you are unaware of it, it would not seem to apply to your situation.

When you add a new user to the machine, upon either the new user logging in or the new user launching PGP Desktop, he/she should receive a prompt asking whether PGP will be used by that User.  If you indicate the need to use PGP, I believe you will then be asked for the licensing data for being able to use it.  If you have a group license with remaing seats, you can use it.  I believe the EULA otherwise individual users to have individual licenses which you can obtain from Customer Care.
