Hi

I am running Windows 2003 standard with backup exec 10.1. I am using an overland loader express

I was wondering if someone could help me please with an issue I am having
All of a sudden (this happened in the middle of a job) I am unable to make backups. I get the error

Error : e000810d - Physical Volume Library Media not found.
For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-33037

I clicked on the Link http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/190820.htm
but it does not solve my problem.

I can do an inventory, catalog tapes, label etc NP with the Loader express.
It is just the backup that is giving me a problem.

Has anyone come across this issue before.

thanks in advance for any input -A

The error means that Backup Exec can't find a tape it is looking for. Is there some alert that specifies what tape is needed? Normally during a regular backup you won't get a message like this unless it is a duplicate job or synthetic full backup that is looking for a source tape.

Hi,

Thanks for writing back....

I finally got the thing working. I installed a backup exec service pack rebooted the backup server and relabled the tapes. I couldnt at that moment still make backups so I made tried to backup a folder on the local server as opposed to a remote one. It was successful and that made everything work.

Still dont really know what happened though to cause this. All I can think off is that it is somehow the error that initially caused the job to fail in the middle --0xe000848c - Unable to attach to a resource-- caused it. It was strange to that the initial error occured in the first place. Resource was available and nothing in the environment changed. Both machines were also on the same subnet.
