Hi, There is no option to

Hi,

There is no option to ping the client from SEPM. However, iy will be upgraded next time it contacts SEPM for updates, delta for the upgrade package will be made available along with the other updates.

I would recommend you to create an idea for the same. So that we will have a button at the SEPM to check the availability of SEP client.

I agree. A green dot does

I agree. A green dot does signify that the client is communicating with SEPM. But what I was suggesting is, something similar to secars test. When we do secars test we check the connectivity to server from the client.

This button would do the exact opposite.

I think it would be good to

I think it would be good to be able to ping non-SEP clients from SEPM to determine if they are online. I use different methods now and this would shorten my time rolling out to new clients.

Ping is one of the many

Ping is one of the many tests that the Find Unmanaged Computers tool in the SEPM does. So in a way, that button already exists.

True, but just simply right

True, but just simply right clicking on a client and selecting "ping" is much faster

Non-sep clients do not show

Non-sep clients do not show up in the SEPM. Where would you be right-clicking them?

You are using AD sync with

You are using AD sync with SEP, OU's from Active directory, not manually created SEP groups?

Though so:)I've seen that

Thought so:)

I've seen that it's quite rare way to use grouping on SEP, mostly AD sync wont fit in AD infra created years a go. Non-sep client do appear on SEP Manager console only when using AD sync/grouping.

It would be a great solution

It would be a great solution !
Everytime, i need to open a Command Prompt + Retype the Ping + Name of computer to terst if the client are connected...

A right click on the Client .. ( If it's possible also from the Web Report .. ) Would be a Verry wonderfull Idea!
