What is your Linux OS & version, not all linux versions are supported, so check the SCL first.

My server is running RHEL 5. When it is not available can I use backup image of disk to restore to new server machine. Can I do this? and my new server can start?
Thanks for comments
HI
I think that will not work with linux we donot support full disaster recovery we support restoring of user file.
So if it is only user file I think you can give it a try of restoring to different machine

I think is there any software backup and recover backup image to new machine? For on Window desktop, I can use Ghost to backup System for any machine. ON LINUX, IS THERE ANY SOFTWARE CAN DO THIS?

Thanks for yours support,
Please help me again,
In SSR server edition, support recovery on dissimilar hardware.(http://www.symantec.com/business/system-recovery-s...)
But in SSR Linux edition, I only find that I can backup complete system, nothing about recovery on dissimilar hardware, have or have no this feature (http://www.symantec.com/business/system-recovery-l...)
thanks all,
SSR has its own support forum. You should post your question in that forum.
Sorry! I moved it
