Hi;
I have installed ESM 9.0 on Windows Server and also i have installed ESM agent to the same server. When I want to run a policy on the agent, i get an error like :
"Error, error writing the server name to the remote process for agent xxxx; The ESM agent () is not authorized to contact the manager. Please re-register the agent with the manager."
I have re-register the agent many times. But the problem did not fix. Do you have any idea?
Thanks;

Try Registering by IP address
Hi,
How did you register the agent? by NetBIOS Name/ FQDN/IP addr?
If not IP addr - Try registering it by IP addr and let me know the result.

Insure manager.txt is present and correct
The registration process should have added the manager to this file. If it is missing check the registration log. If it is present look at the agent logs to see if the NAT or incorrect manager DNS record is resulting in the IP/Name contacting the agent not matching what is in manager.txt
correction manager.dat not manager.txt
Sorry quick correction the file is manager.dat not .txt.
Hi Kevin; thank you for your

127.0.0.1 # 127.0.0.1
- i have checked reg log file in %temp%SymantecESMAgentreg.log. it says "Agent registration completed successfully"
Thanks.

Hi again Kewin; I have fixed
Hi again Kewin;
I have fixed the problem by changing the IP address of the ESM manager while registering agent.
I have gived manager's IP address (172.x.x.x) instead of its name (127.0.0.1) while registering agent.
thank you.
