Policy scheduled to run at user logon keeps repeating

This issue has been solved. See solution.

I have a policy that runs a task at user logon (a logon script). When logging on it runs successfully, but then it seems to run every 15 minutes and as it causes a command window to appear its pretty annoying. There is no repeat set in the schedule. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Did you check for loops in the script?

Do you see every 15 minutes the task in the Task History in the Agent UI (if not it's not a schedule issue its more like on your script side)?

Did you modify it heavily befor? Maybe something broke, try to redo the task and policy from scratch (so no historic data is present)

No loops - the script itself completes, the task shows as successful as does the policy (compliant) and then 15 mins it does it again.

But I followed your advice and deleted the task and the policy, recreated it all and now it behaves normally, thanks!
